Place a copy of your trip
itinerary in your luggage so your bags can be easily
returned to you if they go missing enroute.
Make two sets of photocopies
of all your credit cards and other important documents
such as passport and birth certificate - keep one
copy with you and leave a set with someone at home,
in case of loss or theft you'll have a complete record.
Get some local currency in
advance, in small bills for tipping
